Final Event Update

Hey guys, this is the final event update:


Proof Of Eligibility
Please inform all riders to bring along their current student identification or examination transcript, etc. to show proof that they are
full-time matriculated under-graduate students, or students who have graduated in 2011 and attended classes in 2011


Team Captain’s Briefing - IMPORTANT
Please send one (1) representative to attend a Team Captain’s Briefing on Saturday 25th June 2011 @ 8:00 am at the event venue (Bedok Reservoir), in front of the judges’ tent. One of the judges will explain the event rules, heat system, scoring, the wakeboard course and other important issues. There will be no further briefings during the event so important to have a representative attend.


Transportation

Bus
Please advise riders to alight at Bus Stops B19A (closer to spectators' gallery) or B21 (closer to starting dock) along Bedok Reservoir Road

Parking
Parking is limited around the event venue so you are advised to
car pool or take public transportation. Best parking option is available at Bedok Reservoir's Car Park A (90+ lots), opposite Aquarius Apartments.

Other car park options are as per attached map, ie. Block 739A – Mult Storey Car Park (above Sheng Siong Market; free parking on Sunday – take a bus down to Bus Stop B19A or B21)


Equipment
The event organizers will only provide a wakeboard handle and 70 foot rope, and life vests for men and women in assorted sizes. All teams are to bring their own boards, tools, spare binding bolts, fins, etc.


Bibs
All riders are required to wear a Rip Curl branded bib when competing.


Lunch
Lunch will be provide for competitors only, served at 12:00 pm both days.


Starting Order
To be circulated to team leaders via e-mail by 12:00 pm Friday, 24th June 2011. Alumni divisions starting order will be announced on-site on Saturday 25th June 2011

*Please arrive one and half hours before your scheduled time to avoid missing your turn.

Take note of the following rules:

Rule 5 RIDER PREPARDNESS

A rider must be in his bindings, with his life vest on, and with a rope that will not interfere with him being ready to ride when the boat returns to the dock/start area. Any rider who fails to be on immediate hand & in condition to ride when it is his turn in the running order as stated above will be deemed to be wasting time to gain an unfair advantage and will be disqualified. It is the rider’s sole responsibility to be ready to ride.

Rule 6 DISQUALIFICATION

Should a rider be disqualified for any reason, he will not be permitted to participate in the remainder of the competition, ie. If he misses his turn in the qualifying rounds, he will not be permitted to compete in the last chance qualifiers.

Please ensure that all team / individual / alumni riders are familiar with the rules (see attached).

Official Prize-Giving Ceremony
To be held at the Wave House on Monday 27th June 2011 at 8:00 pm. Final results will only be announced at the Wave House. Free entry to everyone so please bring friends, club members and supporters, etc.

6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Complimentary Flowriding for all 2011 Rip Curl IVP competitors
8:00 pm to 8:30 pm Prize-Giving
8:30 pm to 11:00 pm One-For-One Flowriding

Riders as well as supporters, please meet at 7am at Tampines MRT. We will then be taking the bus down to Bedok Reservoir. Should you be driving, please refer to the parking information as given in the event update.

Lunch is provided for all competitors. Please ensure you have all your equipment needed, and also bring your student matriculation card.

Supporters, please be punctual. If you come late, you will have to make your way down yourself. Buses available from Tampines Interchange is 22, 65, 66, 67.

Things to bring for supporters: Food, Drinks, Mat, all the energy you can muster to encourage the competitors!
