Hi guys! Wirda here.
I’ve several announcement for you to note:

1)Attendance.
I have seen improvement in attendance for land training over the past weeks. Thanks for informing me whenever you are not able to come for training! However, there is still another issue I’d like to point out: please inform me directly if you are unable to turn up for training. Refrain from asking your teammates to relay the message for you. Thanks guys!

*Note: those involve in YOG, please tell me in advance, preferably by next Thursday (5th Aug). more details will be given during the next training

3) Great eastern women run 2010 volunteer
There have been a slight change to the information given previously. Although it is not an official club event, we have decided that it would be more convenient for you guys to inform me if you are interested to participate.
So far, these are the names I’ve received: Alvin, salam, nat, nyzam, jun ming, radha and farhan.
OH! Tell me which dates you guys want to volunteer for as well. Click here to see more details regarding this event. Thanks guys!

4) Batam trip
Date: sometime during the YOG break
Please inform Sarah if you are interested to go!

5) YOG supporting contingent (Edited)
These are the names I’ve received as of last night. Alvin have already submitted these names and since the information was received kinda late, he estimated your shirt size to pass to kwok! Hope you don’t mind..

Edited Info: Give Alvin your t-shirt sizes by thursday night, 29 July. If you don't, he will estimate your sizes.

6) Poly 50
OKAY. LAST ANNOUCEMENT!

As you all see, we have more than enough people to send only one team. So I suggest we send two! But the problem is we don’t have enough people to send another complete team, so c’mon guys! Some details for poly 50 is here. Inform me if you want to take part!

thanks for bearing with the lengthy post!
Love, Wirda

3. Silver Infocomm Day

Details:

SP and IDA will be jointly organising the annual Silver Infocomm Day 2010 on 19-21 Sep 2010 (right after exam) at SPCC & Auditorium and CIS labs for senior citizens to be equipped with IT skills to bridge the digital gap between the young and the older generations.

We need student volunteers to help out in these 3 days events. Last year, there were many late requests from clubs/individuals asking for Community Service so that they can fulfil their CCA points. Please disseminate this information to your Year 3 students who need to fulfil their Community Service category in the revamped CCA scheme.

Their responsbilities :
(i) The senior citizens will have a hands-on "how to use PC" session. Most may not know how to use a PC. As such, they need our students to assist.
(ii) Refreshment/Lunch provided but no allowance
(iii) Briefing session will take place 1st week of Sep (more details will be provided later)

FOR EVENT ONE: contact me by tmr, Monday, 3pm.
EVENT TWO: contact the organiser directly, do note there are terms and conditions and possibly a screening test of sorts.
EVENT THREE: contact me by this Friday, 30 July.
